The weave is tight and even, you can tell it was done by hand. Wore it all afternoon in full sun and my face stayed shaded the whole time.
I was nervous about buying a hat online without trying it on, but the handwoven weave is so fine and tight that it feels like a piece of art on my head. You can tell a lot of care went into making this by hand, and it sits lightly without that stiff, itchy feel I've had with other straw hats.
